Scoring
How scoring works
Same rules for everyone. Points scale up as the tournament gets bigger.
Group stage
Predict the 90-minute score for each match.
- Exact 90-minute score+3
- Correct outcome (win / draw / loss)+1
- Anything else0
Outcomes are based on the 90-minute result only. Extra time and penalties don't apply in the group stage.
Knockout stage
Pick the score and, if it's a tie at 90 minutes, the team that goes through.
- If the score isn't tied, the winner is set automatically.
- If the score is tied, you must pick who advances after extra time or penalties.
- Points only count when you picked the correct advancing team. No partial credit otherwise.

If the team you picked to advance loses, you score 0 — even if you nailed the 90-minute score.
Worked example
Match ends 1–1 at 90 minutes. Team A wins on penalties.
You predicted 1–1 + Team A advances
Full points for the round (exact score + correct advance).
You predicted 1–1 + Team B advances
0 points. Wrong advancing team always scores zero.
Extra time and penalties never change the 90-minute score we compare against.
Third-place play-off
No advancement here — just the 90-minute score.

Bonus picks
Lock these in before the tournament starts.
- Correct champion+20
- Correct runner-up+12
- Each correct semi-finalist+6
Bonus picks are graded once at the end of the tournament. They're independent from match-by-match scoring.
Things to remember
- Outcomes always use the 90-minute result.
- An exact 90-minute score with the wrong advancing team scores 0.
- If the real match is tied at 90 minutes, you also need the correct winner to score.
- Picks are deterministic — same prediction, same result, same points.
